Smithers RCMP are looking for a suspected criminal with a particular disdain for communications towers.
On November 1st, the manager of the Starlynx Communications Tower reported significant damage to the Hudson Bay Mountain Road structure.
Damaged sustained by the tower appears consistent with bullet holes, and police suspect someone may have shot the tower as many as 50 times.
While they are unsure when exactly the shooting would have taken place, the tower did go offline at around 8:00 on Halloween evening.
Repair costs are estimated to be north of 10 thousand dollars.
