A new cannabis agreement has been signed between the province and Kispiox First Nation.
That agreement supports the Nation’s commitment to pursuing new economic and employment opportunities for the Nation through cannabis ventures.
Section 119 of the Cannabis Control and Licensing Act allows the province to enter into agreements with First Nations.
Signed under that section, the agreement establishes some variation from the provincial cannabis framework, but maintains alignment with federal and provincial laws.
