Five pre-reviewed design plans for carriage houses and secondary dwellings have been released by the City of Quesnel for residents of the city and the Cariboo Regional District Fringe Area to see.
Back in the Spring, the city got both a designer and the community involved in the creation of these designs in order to reduce costs for homeowners and expedite the building permit process.
Quesnel committed to expediting building permits within three business days when these designs are used.
Quesnel has also gotten a grant that will allow them to waive fees for the first 15 building permits submitted in the city using the designs until October 31st next year.
