Yesterday at around 5:15 in the evening, Prince George RCMP got a call about a possible shooting at Connaught Hill Park.
Officers went to the area and found a man in his twenties near the bottom of the blue stairwell who was suffering from a gunshot wound, who was then transferred to a hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
While the investigation has only begun recently, this shooting is believed to be a targeted event and RCMP are looking to speak with anyone who may have information regarding the incident or dashcam footage of the area at around the time it happened.
