Reports of an explosive device, which prompted the evacuation of a Quesnel school yesterday, have been determined to be false.
RCMP received reports of a possible explosive device at McNaughton Centre at around 10:45 yesterday morning.
Staff had the school promptly evacuated, and students were brought to the nearby Royal Canadian Legion while police and fire crews investigated.
They were able to confirm the threat to be a false alarm, and students were returned to their classrooms.
But, RCMP are continuing to investigate in an effort to determine the origins of the initial call.
