Support staff at the College of New Caledonia are among 2,100 workers covered under a newly ratified collective bargaining agreement.
They join CUPE-represented employees at four other post-secondary institutions covered under the new 3-year deal with the province.
It covers those working in administration, facilities and technical support, food and beverage services, library support, and as teaching assistants.
Employees will see a wage increase of 25 cents per hour plus 3.24 percent in the first year of the deal, which is retroactive to last April.
Year two will net a 5.5 percent wage increase plus a cost-of-living adjustment of up to 6.75 percent, with a 2 percent increase plus up to 3 percent in year three.
Part of the deal will also see cultural leave time for Indigenous workers, improved mental-health supports, new committees on benefits, and more.
Also included under the agreement are the College of the Rockies, Camosum College, North Island College, and Vancouver Island University.
