On February 21st, 2024, the New Hazelton RCMP, along with other emergency response teams, from BC and the Yukon, along with Police Dog Service (PDS) and RCMP members from neighbouring detachments executed search warrants on 3 properties in South Hazelton, BC.
The operation resulted in the seizure a significant amount of various weapons, drugs, and cash during the operation.
Several individuals were arrested, and individuals could face charges related to drug trafficking and weapons offenses.
This enforcement action is part of ongoing efforts to combat the drug supply problem in the area.
