A structure fire in Thornhill late Thursday afternoon brought first responders from Terrace RCMP, Ambulance and the local fire department to handle the heavily smoking building. Fire crews entered the building and managed to extinguish the embers and traffic was redirected as the crews worked at dealing with the incident. Pacific Northern Gas as well as BC Hydro stood by to assist with site safety. The affected structure is located on the west side of Kenworth, across from the intersection with Scotton Ave. No other information or word on the cause of the fire is available at this time.
