LNG Canada says flaring activities tied to an LNG import cargo will continue through mid-May. Flare height is expected to vary between 20 and 50 meters until around May 15th.
Community members may notice increased noise and visible emissions during this period — all part of the facility’s safe start-up process.
The company says fluctuating flare size is normal during commissioning as they move toward launching Canada’s first LNG export facility.
