An MTI is a violation ticket authorized under provincial legislation, giving the District the authority to issue fines for non-compliance with community rules. Residents can access the full set of bylaws, including details on fines, through the Kitimat Municipal Code on the District’s website.
To help prevent violations, the public is encouraged to familiarize themselves with the bylaws and regulations. Additionally, residents who notice bylaw violations can report them directly to the bylaw officer using an online reporting form. The form is available at www.kitimat.ca/issues.
