Fog is creating near zero visibility across parts of the Interior, and conditions are expected to continue until early this afternoon.
The advisory covers the North Columbia, West Columbia, and the North Thompson region mainly near Clearwater along with the Trans-Canada Highway from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass, the 100 Mile area, and Highway 97 between Clinton and 100 Mile House, especially near Big Bar.
Drivers are reminded that mountain weather can change quickly, creating hazardous travel conditions. Widespread near zero visibility is possible, so motorists should slow down and adjust travel plans if needed.
Environment officials say fog advisories are issued when visibility drops to near zero, posing a risk to drivers.
