There have been widespread reports this morning that Meta apps had gone down worldwide, including Facebook, Messenger and Instagram and Instagram messenger.
Outages have been reported across Canada, the US, and overseas in the Philippines, other parts of Asia, as well as parts of Europe.
Here in the Northwest of BC app disruptions began around 6:30AM local time, but the true extent of the outage or it’s cause has not been confirmed.
There’s been no word from parent company Meta on what happened or when when services may be restored, but many of the affected apps began to see functional restored around 7:30AM, and appeared to working as usual just after 8:00AM.
