CityWest has said they are experiencing a service outage, as it affecting customers from Prince George heading west.
The cause has been identified as a fibre cut, an attempted copper theft, on a third-party carrier’s network in Alberta that carries CityWest’s long-distance traffic.
CityWest has said based on the latest information we have, we expect service to be restored within the next couple of hours.
They have also said that a secondary backup route from Prince George to Vancouver is also currently affected by nearby wildfires.
CityWest has said that there technical team is working to restore service.
