There are nearly 50 out of control wildfires burning in the province today.
Including one North of Kitsumkalum its by Treston Lake and is burning at 1.2 hectares.
BC Wildfire has deployed an Initial Attack crew along with a helicopter equipped with a medium bucket.
One is burning on the edge of the Dean River Conservancy, northeast of Bella Coola.
It’s grown to 110 hectares but isn’t threatening any communities or infrastructure.
Active fires in the Cariboo have now burned nearly 2,800 square kilometers.
Between there and the Okanagan there are still about 18,000 people under evacuation orders, plus another 11,000 on alert.
Even if you aren’t currently under any evacuation warnings, the province is still urging everyone to sign up for Emergency Support Services.
