The Northern Rockies RCMP are seeking any witnesses to a shooting incident that had occurred on Saturday September 26th, on the Fort Nelson First Nation Reserve.
Police received a report at around 2:40am that there was a fight near 5000-block of Dene Etene Road.
When the investigators arrived at the residence, they learned one person had been shot and already transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
RCMP say that they arrested two suspects while a third remains outstanding.
They two were released back into the community on conditions with future court dates.
RCMP also say that they believe this to be a targeted event with no ongoing safety risk to the public.
RCMP is asking if anyone know the whereabouts of the remaining suspect or have any info that can help such as such as video surveillance or dash camera footage relating to the event, they contact an investigator by calling 250-774-2700.
This investigation remains ongoing.
