With the election just a few days out now, we asked everyone running to be the next mayor of Terrace why you should vote for them.
After years of lobbying the city as a Skeena Valley Seniors rep, Dianna Penner aims to make local voices feel heard and represented.
Seniors issues, community safety, and lowering municipal spending are Penner’s top priorities.
Terry Fulljames also wants to lower taxes and red-tape around building to inspire generational change.
He says he’ll leverage his experience as a contractor and building inspector to find out where money and time can be saved.
Incumbent Sean Bujtas, meanwhile, says the key to lowering taxes is to attract industry development.
One of the keys to getting that done will be securing a long-term Northwest Regional Benefits Alliance.
Bujtas says he was key in getting the first one approved and to improving relationships between the city and neighbouring Nations.
We’ll be electing one of those three as Terrace’s next mayor this Saturday.
