Tomorrow’s Kitimat Ice Demons game is being dedicated to Kitimat local Private Trevor Flegel.
Flegel was one of 39 injured in a fire during a live-service training exercise at the Armed Forces Base in Wainwright last month.
He suffered burns on half his body and is facing extensive medical bills as a result.
The Ice Demons will be holding several events to raise funds to support those bills, including a silent auction, puck toss, and fill the boots contest.
You can see the auction items on the Ice Demons Facebook page.
They’re also asking attendees to bring cards and letters sharing messages of support for Flegel and his family.
A GoFundMe campaign, organized by friend Kyle Germuth, has hit $80,000 of it’s $90,000 goal.
You can find that campaign at this link.
The Ice Demons will be playing the Prince Rupert Rampage at Tamitik Arena at 7:00 tonight.
