On November 19th, BC will swear in its first Conservative government in nearly a century.
But for Skeena MLA Claire Rattée, it’s less about the party, and more about representing all her constituents.
That includes making ending ER closures a top priority, as well as making sure health care as a whole doesn’t keep leaving the north behind.
That’s been a top focus for her since well before she was first elected to legislature in 2024.
The party has seen three leaders in a few months and some ideological disputes, but Rattée says they agree on the important things.
She says she’s excited to get to work and honour the trust Skeena residents have placed in her.
Her constituency office will remain closed until the new government is sworn in on the 19th.
