British Columbia is marking the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as a non-instructional day for students, moving forward.
Held on September 30th, the day, also known as Orange Shirt Day, is meant to recognize and reflect on the impact of the Residential School system on Indigenous Peoples.
It was made a statutory federal holiday last year, but has been taking place in growing capacities since 2013.
