MLA and NDP leadership candidate David Eby stopped by Terrace today as part of the northwestern leg of his leadership campaign tour.
During an interview with CFNR, Eby discussed his newly announced housing plan and how it helps to address affordability and availability of housing, with a focus on multi-family development.
Eby says the plan could provide a means for owners of single-family homes to convert them to create much needed housing in communities like Prince Rupert.
According to the Vancouver- Point Grey MLA, the plan will also help address on-going communication and support issues with municipalities.
Eby was particularly excited about the plan’s efforts to work with First Nations to develop on-reserve housing, as well as broader community housing opportunities.
Other subjects discussed during the interview included: economic growth opportunities, First Nations and restorative justice strategies, prolific offenders, and more.
