Canfor is once again announcing temporary production curtailments, this time at their Intercontinental Pulp Mill in Prince George.
Those curtailments will take effect immediately, and be in place for the next four weeks, reducing production of market kraft pulp by 24,000 tonnes.
According to the company, the cuts are due to a lack of economic fibre supply, prompted by previous sawmill curtailments.
Yesterday, Canfor began introducing temporary curtailments at all of their solid wood facilities in BC and Alberta.
Canfor had already been operating on a reduced schedule at all BC facilities since their return from two-weeks of curtailments in September.
