It’s going to be a busy day in Kitimat tomorrow, and the District and BC Transit are teaming up to make sure bus users can see it all.
Transit will be free within the District for the entire day to allow people to get to a number of events being hosted around town.
Things get going with the 13th annual Kitimat Memorial Hillclimb drag races on Haisla Boulevard with time trials kicking off at 10:00 in the morning.
From there, residents can attend the Haisla Bridge grand opening ceremony, which will include dancing, drumming, photo ops, and more.
While the event gets going outside the bridge at 11:00, residents can catch a free shuttle from the Riverlodge Rec Centre at 10:30.
Lion’s Park will be hosting a Night Bazaar Market from 4:30 until 9:00 in the evening, and the day will wrap-up with an outdoor concert at the Lower City Centre.
