LNG Canada is advising residents that flaring at its site, which began Friday, May 30, is continuing this week.
The process may result in increased noise, visible emissions, and black smoke.
Residents are encouraged to check the Kitimat Airshed Group website for up-to-date air quality conditions and forecasts. As of Wednesday, June 4, air quality remains at low risk.
LNG Canada says it’s taking steps to reduce noise and emissions and will continue to share updates online and with local stakeholders.
