The Fort St. John RCMP is asking the public for help after a man was found severely beaten and left in a ditch near Baldonnel, B.C. earlier this month.
Police say they received a report at 7:44 a.m. on October 16, 2025, of an injured man lying in a ditch along 238 Road near 253 Road. When officers, firefighters, and BC Emergency Health Services arrived, they found a 37-year-old male conscious but incoherent, suffering from extensive injuries believed to be the result of an assault.
The victim was transported to Fort St. John Hospital, where he was placed on a ventilator and treated for several days.
Investigators are now appealing for anyone with information about the incident or the events leading up to it to come forward. Police are particularly interested in dashcam or surveillance footage from the area.
