Fraser Lake RCMP have confirmed that 82-year-old Wilma Friesen, who was reported missing earlier this week, has been found deceased.
Police say Friesen was last seen on the afternoon of October 27th, visiting a friend in Fraser Lake around 3 p.m. She said she planned to pick up groceries before heading home but never returned. Her family reported her missing later that evening when she failed to show up for a scheduled medical appointment the next day in Prince George.
Friesen was believed to be driving a silver 2020 Ford Edge with the B.C. license plate XL136F. Despite extensive efforts by police and family to locate her, she was found deceased two days later.
RCMP say the cause of death is not considered suspicious and have extended condolences to her family and friends.
The investigation remains open for coroner’s review.
