This week on Good Medicine with Roy Henry Vickers…
We discuss how art serves as a form of medicine, providing healing and connection not only for the creator but also for the audience. Roy shares how his experiences with trauma led him to find solace in creativity. Through art, he channels inspiration that connects him to his ancestors and the natural world.
As a teacher, Roy feels a strong responsibility to guide others in their creative journeys. He believes that everyone possesses artistic potential, and his role is to help individuals realize their creativity, regardless of their background. This belief underpins his approach to teaching and community engagement, as he encourages others to embrace their unique stories and expressions.
